Look Far, it's the X-Wing in a hangar thingy I was telling you about!!!
 Yeah, you spurred me into getting it done. I'm quite happy with myself because I managed to get both this pic and an essay written since yesterday when I decided to start it properly. Usually I'd be in a position where I would have started yesterday and got it done...but without the essay being looked at - which if I do now, I'm screwed. Anyway, yes. Er, backstory... well I've thought for some time about doing a ruined Ahto City from Knights of the Old Republic - and what better than having it viewed from a Classic trilogy perspective - a lost, or hunted Rebel pilot stumbles across a ruined and forgotten city atop Manaan. Of course checking Wookiepedia several months ago when the first idea struck me, it seemed that the Selkath abandoned Ahto after the Kolto went unpopular and that was that - a perfect setting. Only apparently checking today it seems that it was repopulated during the rule of the Empire - gah! Probably something to do with EaW...ooy... Anyway, added two Star Destroyers as a reference to this though. Or something. Made sense some hours ago when I wasn't dead on my chair. Unfortunately have to admit this - I traced the outline of the X-Wing, because I don't have the time to grapple with my God-awful grasp of perspectivenessness. I tried drawing what I saw (same shot) and if I had more time I would have perfected it and used it as a matter of principle, but I have no time really. Yeah, new lighting techniques was one of the things I was trying out, trying to excersise, particularily on the X-Wing, natural light, artifical light and reflected light. Quite happy with how it came out. Blurry-ness is of sort what I was going for, sort of because I don't like using sharp edged brushes, because then it exposes my chronic inability to draw lines and circles.
